DATAMED and GLEAMER announce their partnership and first customer installation in Riga Trauma Hospital, Latvia. This hospital is the only specialized institution in Latvia providing primary and secondary care with highly qualified medical staff, for skeletal injuries, prevention of complicated injuries, and orthopaedic and reconstructive surgeries in various types of skeletal and joint diseases. With its performance and portfolio of highly specialized services, the hospital is the leading medical treatment institution in Latvia.

“DATAMED has a large footprint in Latvia for image archive and visualization, and has built a strong credibility across healthcare organizations. It is now expanding its business to the Baltic Sea and Russian-speaking countries and is ideally positioned to distribute GLEAMER’s AI solutions”, says Nicolas Jirikoff, Chief Business Officer at GLEAMER.

BoneView® is a Class IIa medical device designed to assist radiologists and emergency physicians to interpret traumatic X-Rays through the use of AI technology. It integrates seamlessly into existing workflows and acts as a secondary check to avoid diagnostic errors and can be used to prioritise readings based on AI results. In addition, BoneView® allows for increased productivity, assisting emergency physicians and radiologists in streamlining care pathways for patients being managed for traumatic injuries.

BoneView’s AI engine has been clinically validated for clinical use on both adults and paediatric exams, evidencing a reduction of 30% in missed fractures. With BoneView’s 99.5% negative predictive value, healthcare professionals can be confident they’re achieving a near perfect interpretation of true negative results (results under publication).

Kaspars Grosu, Customer relationship manager of DATAMED: “This device is the first of its kind in Latvia, and there are not that many solutions of this kind available in the healthcare market today. With this partnership, we hope to bring tremendous value to our customers regarding time, money and resources. It is not a secret that radiologists, traumatologists and surgeons are working extra hours and that demand for medical expertise in hospitals is much higher than supply. We also know that patients in pain cannot wait in the long lines of ERs. GLEAMER’s BoneView® is a fantastic solution for this, and it can speed up current processes and help doctors not only triage patients much more efficiently but also do it faster with fewer mistakes.”
